This piece was my second solo piano piece, but was written some time after Opus 1. At this stage of my life, the musical ideas that came to me never had associated images, but were simply things that sounded “nice” - hence the lack of a title.

This was the first solo piano piece I wrote. It’s based on a simple chord progression, and is simply melodic variations of this progression.

Memories of Life

This piece was written to tell the story of an old man’s near-death experience. The opening section portrays the fight to keep him alive, and his “death”. As the man drifts further and further away from his life, he sees pictures of the things that have happened in his life until this moment - he sees “Memories of Life”. Soon, the man sees a light from the heavens, which he is pulled away from when the fight to save his life is finally successful.
