Well, we’ve started our little road trip, and… the first stop off? Torquay.
Kel’s friend, Sophie, lives in Torquay with her 3 kids, so as we were going that way, we thought we’d drop in. Kel hadn’t seen Sophie in a few years, so they had lots to catch up on. Sophie is Deaf, and signs - so it was good to have a chat and practise my Auslan, too!
I’ve posted some pics of Sophie and the kids in the photos section.

Ok, time for more toys on the site. Just discovered a couple of new plugins to add locations (i.e. longitude and latitude) to my posts, and… to display them in a zoomable and panable world map of my blog. I’m kinda excited about this! Especially since I’m about to go on a bit of a road trip with Kel next week (just a few stops around country Victoria).
Also, check out the bit next to this post which tells you when I posted it - there’s also now a link to a street level map of where I was when I posted it.
If you’re interested, the plugins I’ve added are: Geo Plugin for Wordpress and WorldKit with some help from WordPress Wiki
Well, I’ve just got back from a “Night with the boys” with a difference - instead of drinking lots of beer, and playing pool, or watching action-but-no-story-line DVDs… we went out to the country (Chum Creek, a bit past Lilydale) and learned about Tarot, Runes, Numerology, and I Ching! Was quite interesting - Paul, our master (he works in a crystal shop) brought out a whole bunch of books and stuff and we all had a go.
Anyway, I’ve posted a few photos from the night (including some AWESOME shots of the stars and moon. I never thought I’d see the day where a 30 second exposure isn’t enough (time to get a new camera?)… but…. with the help of Google’s Picasa imaging program, it touches up nicely!

(oh, and I may just have a few random shots of me trying to be creative with candles)
Also, on the way back to Melbourne, we stopped off at Tarrawarra Estate Vineyard to check out their “Modern Art” exhibit. The art wasn’t much to look at, but the building and surrounds sure were! Check them out at the Tarrawarra Vineyard album
